Let’s start right from here: what is Original Club, and how have you condensed your vision into this space?
Barbara (B): Hi, and thank you for your kind words! You’ve captured its essence perfectly. I envisioned it exactly as an oasis—an exclusive space where every detail encourages you to focus on yourself. Original Club is a project built with dedication and no shortage of sacrifice. But it has finally become a reality. I designed it mainly for one-on-one sessions or small groups. The core of everything is personalized work; you can think of it a bit like a tailor’s atelier dedicated to training, because I firmly believe that each of us is a true masterpiece, and as such, deserves to be guided in a unique and dedicated way.
We each have unique goals, limits that are nothing more than springboards, and aspirations that deserve to be celebrated in a personalized way.
S: Before we dive into the technical details, I have to ask: where does this deep passion for fitness come from—and especially, what was the spark that made you say: “Okay, I want this to become my job, my mission”?
B: Ever since I was a teenager, stepping into a gym didn’t just mean “doing physical activity”—it meant immersing myself in a world where discipline meets transformation. Training captured me immediately; it became both my field of study and my greatest passion.
Even though my early university studies were in the humanities—which gave me the sensitivity to understand the mind—the call of the body and its mechanics was simply too strong. I chose to dedicate my professional life to the science of movement. My heart beats for strength training and working with loads.
The real turning point in my education came with the StrongFirst school, where strength isn’t just brute force, but a refined skill to be cultivated. I climbed every peak: I earned certifications in kettlebells, barbell, and bodyweight, eventually reaching the prestigious status of Elite Instructor.
The idea of Original Club wasn’t a choice—it was a true calling! In the fitness world, I noticed something: the lack of intimate spaces where the individual is genuinely placed at the center, without the distractions and the typical “clamor” of large gyms. I wanted to create exactly that “refuge” I described, where the sound of the weights blends with the rhythm of your heartbeat, and the only thing that matters is you and your journey.

S: At this point, I’m curious to know what philosophy drives your training approach. Many people see physical activity as a kind of duty or, worse, a punishment. How do you overturn this perception?
B: Strength has a higher purpose. That’s the philosophy we embrace! Without an adequate level of strength, the quality of our life is destined to decline—strength training is a true anti-aging medicine. Movement should be seen as a blessing, not as a sterile effort to endure!
My mission is to weave it into your everyday life as a trusted ally, joyfully celebrating the body’s hidden potential.

Of course, the aesthetic aspect benefits enormously, but for us that’s simply a wonderful and natural reward—not the starting point. We want training to be an experience of discovery, a push beyond your limits, always with a smile.
